Part Time Security & Transportation Officer - Cannabis

This is a part-time position (2 days per week, not to exceed 30 hours) that requires early mornings, some as early as 4:00am, with routes covering the entire state of Illinois.

About the role

Nature's Grace and Wellness is seeking a detail-oriented Security/Transit Driver comfortable driving anywhere in Illinois. Hours may vary based on delivery and on-site production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Transit Vehicles.
• Maintain inventories, supply requests, and work orders.
• Identify potential maintenance needs on Transit Vehicles.
• Keep a clean and orderly work area.
• Sit for long periods of time.
• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites to ensure security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Conduct periodic patrols to check for irregularities, inspect protection devices, and fire control equipment.
• Preserve order and enforce site regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Control access to client sites or facilities through the admittance process.
• Patrol assigned sites on foot or in vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances/exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Protect evidence or scenes of incidents in case of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
• Respond to incidents including fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, and inclement weather.
• Prepare logs and reports as required.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• No CDL required.
• Use of simple navigation systems such as Google Maps/GPS.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Comfortable making decisions independently.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
