Security Officer Part Time Route Security

About the Role

This part-time position offers a fixed-shift commitment at a designated site, with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. The role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with income stability and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious conditions according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Skills

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
