Part Time Security Monitor

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Security Monitor located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The primary duty is to observe and report security and emergency situations, intervening directly only when minimal action is required to safeguard property or persons. The position involves minimal training and physical fitness standards.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report security and emergency situations.
• Intervene directly only in situations that require minimal action to safeguard property or persons.
• Stand and walk for prolonged periods, including standing for 8‑12 hours per day.
• Escort uncleared personnel.
• Navigate uneven surfaces and an active construction site with potential debris and trip hazards.
• Climb up to five flights of stairs multiple times during an 8‑12‑hour shift.
• Lift up to 25 pounds (10 kilograms).
• Make logical, mentally competent, and safe decisions while working on a construction site.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Government‑issued clearance at the time of application.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for long periods and lift heavy equipment.
• Exceptional observation skills.
• Strong conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Clear communication under pressure.

Compensation

$22.37 per hour (estimate; actual compensation may vary based on responsibilities, experience, and other factors).
