About the role

As a Part-Time Screening Monitor in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site access-control procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Monitor entry points and screening equipment, identify unauthorized items or access concerns, and report unusual activity or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$19.17 / hour

• Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
