Part Time - Retail Pharmacy Technician

Role Overview

Seeking a licensed pharmacy technician to support outpatient services in a rural community setting. The role involves performing clerical tasks, entering patient and prescription information, processing transactions, managing inventory, and assisting with prescription workflow using manual and automated systems. The technician works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring accurate dispensing and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete clerical duties such as sending/receiving tubes and faxes, filing prescriptions, and processing mail.
• Input customer, insurance, and prescription data; handle prescription transfers.
• Sell prescriptions using POS systems, manage cash, and reconcile payments.
• Order, stock, rotate, and remove expired medications; perform cycle counts and returns.
• Assist with data entry, contact management, manual and automated dispensing, and basic compounding.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• State Board Pharmacy Registration.
• No prior experience required; retail pharmacy experience preferred.
