Part-Time Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary Provides respiratory care utilizing critical thinking skills as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) who has passed the NBRC examinations. Assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates patient care plans, administers medications, and offers health education to patients and families. Acts as a clinical resource, providing leadership and supporting continuous learning. Performs additional duties as assigned. Responsibilities Assess and develop individualized care plans.Implement and evaluate treatment strategies.Administer prescribed medications.Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health management.Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.Provide clinical leadership and support ongoing professional development.Achieve assigned goals and contribute to quality improvement activities. Qualifications And Skills Recent clinical respiratory care experience in hospital, home care, or skilled nursing facilities.Current state license and RRT credential as per NBRC standards.Hospital and departmental orientation completion.Basic computer literacy with Windows and Microsoft Office.Successful completion of entry and advanced level RCP exams; ABG endorsement if applicable.Certification in BLS within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred.
