Part Time - Registrar

The Acute Care Hospital Registrar 1 plays a vital role in ensuring efficient patient registration and admission processes. Under supervision, they greet patients, gather demographic, clinical, and insurance data, and perform initial financial screening for self-pay and out-of-network patients, referring them to Financial Advisors when needed. The role involves accurately registering patients via EPIC, verifying insurance details, obtaining necessary authorizations, and managing consent forms, notices, and documentation in compliance with hospital policies. Additional duties include transcribing physician orders, managing patient wristbands and charts, facilitating scheduling, and maintaining data integrity by identifying duplicate records. The position requires excellent customer service, proficiency in medical terminology, and basic computer skills, with preferred experience using EPIC and related systems. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least one year of relevant experience.
