About the role

The Acute Care Hospital Registrar 1 plays a vital role in ensuring efficient patient registration and admission processes. Under supervision, they greet patients, gather demographic, clinical, and insurance data, and perform initial financial screening for self-pay and out-of-network patients, referring them to Financial Advisors when needed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately register patients via EPIC.
• Verify insurance details and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Manage consent forms, notices, and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
• Transcribe physician orders.
• Manage patient wristbands and charts.
• Facilitate scheduling.
• Maintain data integrity by identifying duplicate records.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least one year of relevant experience.

Skills

• Excellent customer service.
• Proficiency in medical terminology.
• Basic computer skills.
• Preferred experience using EPIC and related systems.
