Registrar - Part Time

Role: Registrar Outpatient Center (Part Time, Days) Responsibilities include: Greeting and assisting patients and families with respectful communication, collecting demographic, insurance, financial, and medical information, obtaining necessary authorizations, verifying insurance details, and managing payments and receipts. Ensuring compliance with HIPAA and EMTALA regulations, documenting activities accurately, obtaining patient consents and advanced directives, securing patient identification, and directing families within the facility. Handling insurance discrepancies, scheduling outpatient services, verifying prescriptions and documents, managing patient tracking, correcting registration errors, scanning documents, and routing inquiries appropriately. Managing duplicate records and performing manual registration during system downtimes. Qualifications and Skills: Minimum one year of customer service experience; high school diploma or equivalent preferred; healthcare experience and bilingual (English/Spanish) skills highly valued. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, effective communication, confidentiality, problem-solving, and resource management essential. Ability to work calmly under stress, follow complex instructions, build professional relationships, and adapt to schedule shifts including weekends and holidays.
