Part-Time Registered Nurse - Nights - Labor & Delivery

Role Overview

A registered nurse providing professional and technical nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care aligned with hospital standards.
• Support the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals.
• Ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families, ensuring understanding of information.
• Document patient information accurately and promptly.
• Participate in patient/family education and promote a cooperative work environment through communication, interpersonal skills, and team building.
• Utilize the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the patient episode.
• Adhere to hospital standards and take personal responsibility for professional growth.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN strongly preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred upon hire and required within 2 weeks.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) certification preferred upon hire and required within 6 months.
• Valid nursing license to practice in Texas.
• At least 1+ years of Labor & Delivery RN experience.
