Part-Time Registered Nurse - Nights - Labor & Delivery

About the role

Responsible for providing highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in accordance with hospital standards.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families, ensuring understanding of information shared.
• Accurately document patient information in a timely manner.
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately.
• Promote teamwork through communication, interpersonal skills, and collaboration.
• Take responsibility for personal and professional development.
• Use the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the patient episode.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN strongly preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred upon hire or within two weeks.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification preferred upon hire or within six months.
• Valid nursing license to practice in Texas.
• At least 1+ years of Labor & Delivery RN experience.
