Part-Time Recreation Leader II (Enrichment)
Job Summary
With supervision, delivers programs and events directly to the public, opens and closes facilities, assists with planning, gathers and organizes supplies/equipment, sets up, assigns duties, and takes down for programs and events. Performs cursory cleanup of the facility as needed, follows all City and Center policies and procedures, and is responsible for the care and safety of participants.
Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic cash handling
- Experience working with children
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with public programs/events (preferred)
- Ability to obtain relevant certifications within the time period designated by supervisor
- Ability to multitask
- Education and Experience:
- Minimum age of 18 years
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Special Requirements:
- Compliance with City of Conroe direct deposit payroll policy
- Valid Texas Class “C” driver’s license or higher
- Pass background check and pre‑employment substance‑abuse screening
- Motor vehicle record check and job‑related doctor’s physical exam may be required
- Safety‑sensitive positions subject to random drug and alcohol testing after hire
Physical Demands
The work is medium and requires the ability to exert up to 50 lb of force occasionally, up to 30 lb frequently, and up to 10 lb constantly to move objects. Required physical abilities include balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, talking, and walking.

Pay
Starting salary: $11.23 per hour.
