About the role
We are seeking a Part-Time Psychiatrist to provide expert psychiatric care in a behavioral healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and leading the medical team, including physicians, clinicians, and support staff.
- Delivering high-quality medical care aligned with evidence-based practices and the company's philosophy.
- Managing detoxification protocols, medication assessment, withdrawal management, and Medication Assisted Therapy.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as ASAM criteria, Joint Commission, and state regulations.
- Documenting all clinical activities accurately in the electronic health record.
- Supporting quality assurance, performance improvement, and policy development.
- Participating in on-call duties and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Assisting in staff recruitment, training, evaluation, and ensuring effective daily staffing.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution and valid licensure (MD or DO).
- Board certification in Psychiatry, with additional addiction medicine certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience and familiarity with healthcare standards such as Joint Commission and ASAM.
- DEA certification and training in Buprenorphine prescribing.
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of continuous quality improvement.
