About the role
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners provide mental health assessments, evaluations, and treatment to a diverse client population, primarily adults and adolescents. They prescribe medications, develop care plans, and collaborate with clients and staff in both telemedicine and in-person settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments
- Prescribe medications as needed
- Create and update care plans
- Complete documentation
- Adhere to clinical guidelines
- Consult with regional directors on client care and program development
- Evaluate clients via telehealth and in-person
- Treat individuals aged 14 and older
- Ensure compliance with practice standards
Requirements
- Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with board certification
- Master's in Nursing with prescriptive authority
- At least one year of psychiatry experience
- Knowledge of EMR systems (preferred)
- Completion of internal ADHD training and certification (preferred)
