About the Role
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides mental health assessments, evaluations, and medication management for a diverse population, primarily adults and adolescents. They create and collaborate on care plans, prescribe medications as needed, and adhere to clinical guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person and telemedicine mental health assessments and evaluations for clients aged 14 and up.
- Develop and collaborate on care plans, including prescribing medications as needed.
- Follow up with clients every 90 days to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans.
- Complete necessary paperwork and assessment tools.
- Consult with regional staff on client care and program development.
Requirements
- Licensed and board-certified in psychiatric mental health nursing with prescriptive authority.
- Master’s degree in nursing.
- At least one year of psychiatric practice experience.
- Ability to conduct intake assessments and prescribe medication.
- Experience with EMR systems like AdvancedMD is a plus.
Schedule
Part-time, 15-20 hours per week.
