Part-time Project Associate

The Jordan Wellness Collaborative (JWC) Lab is a multidisciplinary research and practice collaborative advancing community research and program development focused on substance use, mental health, and accessible health systems.
About the role
The Project Associate (Part-Time) will provide administrative and programmatic support to the Principal Investigator (PI) and research team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the JWC and NYU UC2 Hub.
Responsibilities
- Assist with logistics for selected Hub meetings and activities, including preparing agendas, organizing materials, and maintaining shared documents and files.
- Maintain basic tracking tools such as calendars, task lists, and spreadsheets to support monitoring of project timelines and deliverables under the direction of the PI.
- Assist with coordinating special events, such as occasional workshops, trainings, convenings, or community-focused meetings, including planning, invitations, materials preparation, and day-of logistics.
- Support scheduling and coordination of meetings for the PI and project teams, focusing on key recurring meetings and priority engagements identified by Hub leadership.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, virtual meeting links, and related documents in advance.
- Attend designated meetings, take clear and accurate notes or minutes, and circulate summaries and action items to relevant team members.
- Support internal and external communication by drafting routine emails and follow-up messages, including scheduling requests, reminders, and simple information inquiries.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience in an office setting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Ability to develop basic formulae for spreadsheets, set up routine computer procedures, and access email, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software.
- Ability to proofread documents and write clear, concise first drafts.
- Typing speed of at least 45 net words per minute.
- Knowledge of standard office practices and ability to use standard office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line telephones, and fax machines.
- Ability to multitask while paying attention to details.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field with 2 to 3 years of related experience in an office setting.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $32.14 - $38.15 hourly, depending on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
