Part Time Program Manager (South Pasadena)

Pay and Schedule

Pay Range: $24-$28/hour (based on education, and experience).

Schedule: Mon-Thu 2:00pm-6:00pm, Friday 12:45pm-6:00pm

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observation
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning in a meaningful way
• Model positive guidance, and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Communicate effectively with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Maintain professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following Prior Experience Supervising Others
• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field preferred
• Education equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade
• Must be able to pass standard proficiency test of basic knowledge
• Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs
• Coursework or training in child development and/or related field
• Excellent communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children
• Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn
• Meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician)
