About the role
Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. The mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and provide peace of mind to families.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit role model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities to a team of staff members.
- Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
- Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
- Continually coach, foster respectful relationships among staff to address any challenges or issues promptly to maintain team cohesion and productivity.
- Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
- Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building.
- Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and assist in implementing changes or processes as guided.
- Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs. Ensure "name to face" attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
- Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.
Requirements
- Experience with working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.
- High school diploma or GED completed.
- Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
- Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
- Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children.
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
- California Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements; LIVE Scan fingerprint background check, Mandated Reporter training, 18+ years of age, Proof of High School diploma/GED required, First Aid and CPR-in-person EMS, 16 Hr Prevention Health required or willing to acquire, Cleared tuberculosis test, 48 units at an institution of higher learning; OR Obtain an Associate's (or higher) degree; OR pass the District's Instructional Assistant written examination.

Pay
$25 - $28 (based on education and experience)
Schedule
Monday - Friday 12:30pm - 6pm. Early dismissal every Wednesday at 11:30am - 6pm
