Part Time Program Manager (South Pasadena)

Pay

Pay Range: $24-$28/hour (based on education, and experience).

Schedule

You’ll work Monday through Thursday from 2:00pm-6:00pm, and on Fridays from 12:45pm-6:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
  • Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning in a meaningful way.
  • Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance, and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
  • Excellently communicate with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
  • Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
  • Must have the ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Must be familiar with Google technology software or willing to learn.
  • Must meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician).

Qualifications

  • College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field preferred.
  • Education equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade.
  • Must be able to pass standard proficiency test of basic knowledge.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.

Skills

  • Positive guidance and effective classroom management.
  • Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
