Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. About the role
As a Program Manager, you will drive the mission by ensuring safety and joy standards are met, supporting operational efficiency, and fostering respectful relationships among staff. You will engage with families, client partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and trust, while maintaining accurate records and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit role model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities for a team of staff members.
- Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
- Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
- Provide continual coaching and foster respectful relationships among staff to address challenges promptly and maintain team cohesion and productivity.
- Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
- Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building.
- Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and assist in implementing changes or processes as guided.
- Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
- Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED completed.
- Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
- Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
- Strong communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children.
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
- Proof of MMR vaccination (Michigan State Requirements).
- First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
- Cleared tuberculosis test.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Meet Michigan state-specific requirements for directors, including one of the following:
- At least 2 semester hours in child care administration or an administration credential approved by the department.
- Associate degree in early childhood or child development including 480 hours of experience.
- Montessori credential including 1 credit in early education or child development + 480 hours of experience.
- Valid MI school-age/youth development credential including 12 college credits in a child-related field + 480 hours of experience.
- Valid CDA including 12 college credits in a child-related field + 480 hours of experience.
- 60 college credits including 12 college credits in a child-related field + 720 hours of experience.
- High school diploma/GED with 6 college credits in a child-related field + 2880 hours of experience.
Skills
- Experience working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.
Pay
$19.00–$23.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM to 8:55 AM and 2:15 PM to 6:00 PM.
