Part Time Program Manager - Novi Community School District
Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. About the role
As a Program Manager, you will drive the mission by ensuring safety and joy standards are met while supporting a team of staff members. You will maintain operational efficiency, outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively. You will also foster respectful relationships among staff, address challenges promptly, and maintain team cohesion and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit role model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met by the team.
- Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
- Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures.
- Provide continual coaching to staff to address challenges and maintain team cohesion.
- Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
- Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and relationships.
- Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours.
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support program goals.
- Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring "name to face" attendance procedures.
- Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum in a safe and engaging environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED completed.
- Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
- Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
- Proof of MMR vaccination (Michigan State Requirement).
- First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
- Cleared tuberculosis test.
- 21 years of age or older.
Qualifications
ALL directors must meet one of the following qualifications:
- BA or BS in a child-related field, OR
- 2 semester hours in child care administration or an administration credential approved by the department, OR
- AD in early childhood or child development including 480 hours of experience, OR
- Montessori credential including 1 credit in early education or child development + 480 hours of experience, OR
- Valid MI school-age/youth development credential including 12 college credits in a child-related field + 480 hours of experience, OR
- Valid CDA including 12 college credits in a child-related field + 480 hours of experience, OR
- 60 college credits including 12 college credits in a child-related field + 720 hours of experience, OR
- HS diploma/GED with 6 college credits in a child-related field + 2880 hours of experience.
Pay
$19.00–$23.00 per hour (based on education and experience).
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM to 8:55 AM and 2:15 PM to 6:00 PM.
