Part Time Program Manager - Wayne Township Public Schools

Right At School provides local school districts with before- and after-school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. About the role

This role may be scheduled for up to 16.67 hours per week.

Pay

$20.00 – $24.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday – Friday, split shift
Morning Shift: 7:15 AM – 8:35 AM
Afternoon Shift: 3:20 PM – 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Exhibit role-model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities to a team of staff members.
• Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
• Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
• Provide continual coaching, fostering respectful relationships among staff to address any challenges or issues promptly to maintain team cohesion and productivity.
• Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants; identify and submit proof of any potential risks within the program environment.
• Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building.
• Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
• Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and assist in implementing changes or processes as guided.
• Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs; ensure “name to face” attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
• Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
• Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
• Strong communication skills: oral, written, and visual with adults and children.
• Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
• 18+ years of age.
• Ability to meet New Jersey state-specific requirements, including:
  • First Aid and CPR (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Short- and long-term disability.
  • One of the following combinations:
    • 6 hours training (in child care) and 3 hours (in child program management).
    • Certificate as a Recreation Technician from the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) plus 6 hours training (in child care), 3 hours (in child program management), and 2 years experience.
    • Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate; Group Teacher Approval; or 15 college credits in child development, education, recreation, psychology, health care, nursing, or any other field related to child growth and development plus 6 hours training (in child care), 3 hours (in child program management), and 2 years experience.
    • 15 college credits in areas not related to children plus 6 hours (in child care), 3 hours (in child program management), and 3 years experience.
    • Associate's Degree in any field plus 6 hours (in child care), 3 hours (in child program management), and 2 years experience.
    • Bachelor's Degree in a child-related field; or Office of Licensing Head Teacher Approval plus 3 hours training (in child program management) and 1 year experience.
    • Certificate as a Recreation Administrator, Recreation Supervisor, or Recreation Professional plus 3 hours training (in child program management) and 1 year experience.
    • Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated field plus 6 hours training (in child care), 3 hours (in child program management), and 1 year experience.
    • School Age Program Supervisor endorsement from the New Jersey Registry for Childhood Professionals, Professional Impact New Jersey.
  • Training requirement must be completed within 9 months of being approved as Program Supervisor by the OOL.
