About the role
Program Manager at Right At School is responsible for leading and managing local school district before and after school extended day programs. The role focuses on providing disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. The ideal candidate will manage competing priorities, deliver high-quality service, and foster a safe, engaging environment for children.
Responsibilities
- Safety & Joy: Ensures safety and joy standards are met by supporting staff and maintaining clear understanding of roles and responsibilities. Keeps site documents and licensing standards up to date. Outlines attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensures program tasks are completed effectively. Continually coaches staff to address challenges and maintain team cohesion and productivity.
- Safety Assurance: Consistently supports and reports on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants. Identifies and submits proof of necessary certifications.
- Effective Communication: Engages meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children. Responds promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours. Communicates and collaborates regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and implement changes or processes as guided.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintains accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs. Ensures "name to face" attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
- Daily Routine: Implements daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.
Requirements
- New Jersey State Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements; First Aid and CPR-in-person; Cleared tuberculosis test.
- Short & Long Term Disability Requirements: Based on capacity, varying experience levels required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED completed.
- Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
- Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
- Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children.
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
Skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of child development and related fields.
- Proficiency in Google technology software.
