Part Time Childcare Educator - Wayne Township Public Schools

About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives; organize and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum.
• Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Pay

$16.00-$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM - 8:35 AM and 3:20 PM - 6:00 PM.
