Part-Time Pharmacy Technician

About the Role

Responsible for providing accurate and efficient assistance to licensed pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. Tasks include counting tablets, labeling bottles, stocking products, maintaining patient profiles, processing insurance claims, and handling transactions to support store operations.

Responsibilities

• Stock and inventory medications, notify managers of supply needs
• Receive prescriptions and refills from patients
• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package, and label healthcare products
• Maintain customer profiles and insurance documentation
• Operate cash register, handle transactions, and provide customer service
• Ensure the department is clean, well-stocked, and compliant with policies including HIPAA
• Assist with delegated tasks from pharmacists and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of customer service or pharmacy-related experience preferred
• State registration or certification required
• Strong reading, writing, comprehension, and basic math skills
• Detail-oriented with suggestive selling and product knowledge

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and operate in varied environmental conditions. Reasonable accommodations available.
