About the Role
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will evaluate, treat, and care for pediatric patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
Responsibilities
- Implement and assess respiratory therapy plans
- Provide patient and family education
- Recognize patient needs and promote interdisciplinary care
- Ensure continuity of respiratory services
- Demonstrate proficiency with blood analysis systems
- Maintain professional behavior and serve as a role model
- Adapt to changing duties and responsibilities
Requirements
- Graduate from an approved Respiratory Care program
- Current NJ Respiratory License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- AHA BLS Provider certification
Qualifications
Preferred candidates have a Bachelor of Science degree.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work at any site as needed
- Perform physical tasks including lifting over 15 pounds
- Handle blood and body fluid exposures
- Operate in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrate professionalism, self-evaluation, and cultural sensitivity
