Part-Time Patient Coordinator

About the role

Binyon Vision Center is seeking a Part-Time Patient Coordinator to join their team in Burien, WA.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of the clinic.
• Answer phones, communicate with patients via email and text, and schedule appointments.
• Verify and bill insurance, collect and post payments.
• Prepare daily charts.
• Update patients’ demographic information.
• Explain office fees and policies.
• Cookordination communications between our clinic, patients, and referring offices.
• Ensure the front desk and office is organized and welcoming.

Requirements

• Experience working in a patient-focused role is preferred.
• Electronic medical record and billing knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Professional, upbeat, positive, and punctual.
• Passionate about providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• The primary schedule will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the possibility of one additional weekday.
• The office is open Monday–Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday–Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No weekends required.

Pay

Competitive salary of $18.00-$26.00 per hour based upon education and experience.
