Part Time Parts Clerk

About the role

As the maintenance storeroom clerk, you will help manage a large, complicated parts room. You will assist our procurement manager with ordering equipment and supplies, improve record-keeping processes and procedures, and ensure technicians follow processes to maintain accurate inventory records. This is a part-time role (approx. 20 hours per week) for a detail-oriented self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Help organize the parts inventory for a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing operation.
• Track and monitor inventory supply levels for tools.
• Assist with ordering industrial maintenance supplies.
• Receive inventory, create new labels, and enter new part numbers into JDE software.
• Partner with our maintenance manager to assess problems and validate parts needed on maintenance checklists.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Interest in manufacturing, automotive maintenance, or other mechanical acumen is highly valued.
• Ability to use computer and related software programs (JDE, CMMS, etc.) to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to maintain complex records and assemble and organize data.
• Ability to set priorities, achieve deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
• Comfortable asking questions and able to listen and follow instructions.

Pay

$22 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time, flexible schedule (approx. 20 hours per week). This role does not qualify for benefits.
