Part Time Parts Clerk

About the role
As the maintenance storeroom clerk, you will help manage a large, complicated parts room. You will assist our procurement manager with ordering equipment and supplies, improve record-keeping processes and procedures, and ensure technicians follow processes to maintain accurate inventory records. This is a part-time role (approx. 20 hours per week) for a detail-oriented self-starter.
Responsibilities
- Help organize the parts inventory for a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing operation.
- Track and monitor inventory supply levels for tools.
- Assist with ordering industrial maintenance supplies.
- Receive inventory, create new labels, and enter new part numbers into JDE software.
- Partner with our maintenance manager to assess problems and validate parts needed on maintenance checklists.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Interest in manufacturing, automotive maintenance, or other mechanical acumen is highly valued.
- Ability to use computer and related software programs (JDE, CMMS, etc.) to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to maintain complex records and assemble and organize data.
- Ability to set priorities, achieve deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
- Comfortable asking questions and able to listen and follow instructions.
Pay
$22 per hour.
Schedule
Part-time, flexible schedule (approx. 20 hours per week). This role does not qualify for benefits.
