Part-Time Paramedic

About the role

Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care by applying both basic and advanced medical procedures. Work collaboratively with healthcare and public safety personnel, leading scene and unit management when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assess call situations and determine appropriate actions following paramedic protocols.
• Operate medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids to deliver advanced care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to offer reassurance and information.
• Lead scene management and coordinate with team members and receiving facilities.
• Utilize triage skills for efficient call handling.
• Lift and move patients to ensure optimal care.
• Drive ambulance and assist with navigation to minimize response times.
• Maintain professional relationships with community partners and participate in community outreach.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED; advanced education preferred.
• Current Montana Paramedic Certification or pending application.
• National Registry certification.
• Valid State Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS certifications.
• Ability to pass drug, background, and physical agility screenings.

Requirements

• Ability to work overnight shifts, demonstrate professionalism, and communicate effectively in emergency situations.
