Part-Time Paramedic

About the role

As a Part-Time Paramedic, you will provide compassionate and high-quality patient care, utilizing both basic and advanced medical skills. The position involves assessing emergency situations, operating medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, and IV fluids, and delivering care according to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assess calls and determine appropriate action following paramedic protocols.
• Operate medical equipment and provide advanced interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Act as scene and unit leader when necessary.
• Collaborate with public safety and healthcare personnel.
• Utilize triage skills for efficient response.
• Ensure patient safety and proper lifting/moving techniques.
• Coordinate with receiving facilities and dispatchers.
• Drive and navigate emergency vehicles efficiently.
• Engage in community outreach to promote positive relations.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED; advanced education preferred.
• Current Montana Paramedic Certification or application pending.
• National Registry certification.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS certifications.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Physical agility and ability to lift/move patients.
