Part Time Pain Pump Refill Registered Nurse

About the role

Advanced Infusion Solutions is seeking a Home Health Infusion Registered Nurse to support patients in the Orlando, Florida area. This part-time opportunity offers the flexibility to manage your own schedule while meeting the needs of patients throughout the region, with travel that may extend up to 200 miles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the prescribing provider, patient, and their caregivers; ensures orders are received, implemented, and they are appropriate and actionable.
• Acts in a manner consistent with all applicable State Board of Nursing standards; successfully completes the company assigned training program.
• Educates patients and caregivers to assist the patient with symptom management to improve quality of life.
• Provide pain management and spasticity medication infusion therapies in our patients' homes or in a clinical setting.
• Manage a census of patients with implanted intrathecal pumps, providing intermittent care and ongoing plan of care oversight.
• Visit patients in greater Orlando, Florida and surrounding areas with occasional travel of up to three hours.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current license in state of residence and the ability to be licensed in the others.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Have and maintain current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical background.
• Ability to quickly assess and react to changes in patient conditions.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational and teamwork skills.
• Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills; Ability to work independently and to be resourceful; Proactive problem solver.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word, and use of smartphones and tablets.

Qualifications

• 3 years clinical nursing experience.
• Preferred qualifications include: Implanted intrathecal pump management.

Benefits

Travel time is paid and mileage is reimbursed. Certified and recertified expenses can be reimbursed for eligible RNs such as ASPMN certification.
