About the role
The Criminal Investigations Division encompasses all law enforcement and forensic components residing within the Department of Financial Services. This advertisement is for the Operational Support Services Section. This advertisement is for a PART-TIME OPS Senior Clerk position which is a NON-SWORN position.
Responsibilities
- Assisting staff with answering and returning phone calls
- Making copies and scanning documents
- Performing data entry
- Providing administrative support to staff
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or its equivalent
- A Valid Driver’s License from the Department of Safety and Motor Vehicles
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of general office procedures and practices
- Knowledge of correct grammar usage
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic
- Ability to prepare reports and correspondence
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work activities
- Ability to develop and implement office procedures
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability and skills to effectively work in Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferences
- A degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience with Customer Service
- Experience working in law enforcement agency, law firm, fire service industry, or government investigative agency
- Special consideration may be given to eligible candidates who have bilingual verbal and written skills that meet a critical need of the agency’s mission

Pay
The salary for this position will be $17/hour for no more than 20 hours per week; Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 am-5 pm schedule is schedule needs to be flexible work schedule
Schedule
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
