Part-Time Music Teacher

About the role

The Music Teacher will join the K-8 team at Hope Elementary School.

Responsibilities

• Teach general music classes to K-5 students
• Direct the Middle School Choir (Grades 5-8)
• Teach instrumental lessons in the band program for Grades 5-8

Requirements

• Experience in teaching general music and instrumental lessons
• Proficiency in directing a choir
• Current State of Maine teaching certification

Qualifications

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Energetic and engaging teaching style

Skills

• Ability to adapt to a diverse student population
• Effective classroom management skills

Benefits

• Part-time position, 3 days per week (.6 FTE)
