Part Time Music Teacher

Responsibilities

• Carry out the NYS music curriculum
• Develop lesson plans to be submitted weekly
• Teach general styles of music
• Incorporate musical instruments and movement in lessons
• Teach students liturgical hymns
• Conduct productions and performances, including the Lower School Christmas pageant and Spring Concert for Upper School
• Prepare students for school concerts and planned music experiences
• Communicate well with parents
• Create an enjoyable learning environment to inspire young minds and help them grow in appreciation of music
• Utilize technology to enhance music instruction

Requirements

• Knowledge of liturgical hymns
• Experience with conducting productions/performances
• Strong knowledge of technology for music instruction
• Google Classroom experience

Pay

Salary range is $177 - $261 per diem, depending on degree.
