About the Role
Provide one-on-one lessons (using KeepSAfe guidelines), vocal instruction (group or solo), and other musical instruction. Teach and/or lead the Corps Brass Band and Singing Company. Secure, organize, maintain, and provide constant upkeep of all equipment, instruments, and files of the Corps music department.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the participation of students during “Music Sundays” (at least one Sunday per month).
- Prepare students for participation in Divisional and Territorial “Star Search” music and arts competition, including logistics of transportation, chaperoning, preparation, and leading on competition date.
- Encourage and support youth participation in Divisional music and arts programs by ensuring participants are ready for auditions, music camps, and conservatories.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in a related field or two years of college in education or youth work, or 2 years of equivalent experience working with youth and music ministries.
- Musical ability in Brass Band, Theory, Vocal, and other instrumental instruction such as Piano, Guitar, Bass, etc.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
- Basic office skills, including the use of computers.

Schedule
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays after school hours available.
