Part-Time Music Lesson Teacher

About the role
GFA seeks talented musicians and educators to teach individual and group lessons to students in grades 4-8 of varying ability levels. Positions are available for brass, woodwinds, and strings, with preference given to applicants who can teach across the string and/or band curriculum.
This is a part-time position requiring 6-8 hours per week, with all lessons occurring during the school day. Additional responsibilities include attending all concerts in which their students participate.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in music education or music performance
- Demonstrated proficiency on a major instrument
- Experience teaching students in grades 4-8
- Ability to teach across multiple instruments and ability levels
Location
GFA is located on a scenic 44-acre waterfront campus in Westport, CT, a former Vanderbilt estate. The suburban campus is a five-minute walk from the Greens Farms Metro-North train station and is conveniently situated a half-hour south of New Haven and an hour north of New York City by car or commuter train.
Schedule
