About the role
American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our product in various retail locations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills to manage inventory and display products.
Responsibilities
- Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
- Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
- Maintain an organized backroom area
- Other inventory tasks as needed
- Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
- Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
- Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
- Occasionally assist with store resets as needed
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Access to reliable transportation and internet
- Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
- Meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holidays
Pay and Schedule
The starting pay is $12.60 per hour with increases to $13.30 after 6 months and $14.00 after 1 year. Flexible work scheduling is offered. 401(k) with company match is provided.
Route and Schedule
The route services 373 Benner Pike, State College, PA, 16801. The weekly average hours are 10, increasing to 20 around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours, particularly Monday mornings.
Physical Demands
The job involves working on the sales floor and backstock room, requiring the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday. A stepstool may be used for some tasks.
