Part Time Merchandiser - Saint Johnsbury, VT

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our product in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining inventory levels, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods
• Physical abilities to stand, walk, stoop, squat, and use a stepstool

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Experience not necessary, training provided

Pay

The starting pay is $14.90 per hour, with increases to $15.70 after 6 months and $16.50 after 1 year of employment. Schedules vary, averaging 3 hours per week but can increase to 8 hours per week around holidays.

The route services the following retail locations: 957 Memorial Dr, Saint Johnsbury, VT, 05819; 16 Church St, Barton, VT; 407 Broad St, Lyndonville, VT and 164 Broad St, Lyndonville, VT. Weekly average hours are 3 hours, increasing to 8 hours around holidays.
