About the Role
Crossroads Treatment Centers is a family of professionals dedicated to providing the most accessible, highest quality, evidence-based medication assisted treatment (MAT) options to combat the growing opioid epidemic and help people with opioid use disorder start their path to recovery. Our clinics are outpatient and office-based, serving over 26,500 patients across Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in our outpatient clinic settings
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments as indicated by patient assessment
- Complete medical documentation by Crossroads standards
- Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic care to patients, including referrals to other medical providers and community services
- Provide injections if needed
- Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (additional stipend for supervision of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants)
Schedule & Locations
- Primary center: Ringgold, GA
- Target weekly hours: 15.5 hours weekly
- Proposed schedule: 2 days in person, 5am-11am plus admin/virtual consults other days
Requirements
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical licensure and authorized to practice medicine in the state of practice
- Board certified in primary specialty in one of the following: Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, Psychiatry
- DEA Certificate of Registration in the state of practice with ability to schedule 2, 2N, 3, 4, & 5
- Must have or be eligible for enrollment for Medicaid and Medicare credentials
- 12 hours of approved training in narcotic-addiction treatment within the 12 months preceding the date of hire
- Physician may serve as Medical Director of no more than two narcotic treatment programs within 50 miles of the physician's primary residence or primary office location (exceptions apply if serving only one Crossroads OTP)
Preferred Experience
- Experience in addiction medicine, preferably with experience treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder
