About the Role
Crossroads Treatment Centers is a family of professionals dedicated to providing the most accessible, highest quality, evidence-based medication assisted treatment (MAT) options to combat the growing opioid epidemic and help people with opioid use disorder start their path to recovery. Since 2005, Crossroads has been at the forefront of treating patients with opioid use disorder, offering outpatient, office-based care in clinics across Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in outpatient clinic settings
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments as indicated by patient assessment
- Complete medical documentation per Crossroads standards
- Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic care to patients, including referrals to other medical providers and community services
- Provide injections if needed
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers (APPs)
Schedule & Locations
- Primary center: LaGrange, GA
- Target weekly hours: 8 hours (sample in-center hours: 5a–10a or 6a–11a; remaining hours admin/virtual)
- Flexible on the day of the week
- Only 1 day a week in person for in-center shift; admin/virtual consults on other days
Requirements
- Active and clear MD or DO licensure to practice medicine in the state(s) where patient care will be provided
- DEA registration in the state of practice
- Board certification in one of the following primary specialties: Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, or Psychiatry
- 12 hours of approved training in narcotic-addiction treatment within the 12 months preceding the date of hire
- Medical Directors may serve no more than two narcotic treatment programs, both within 50 miles of the physician’s primary residence or primary office location (exceptions apply if serving only one Crossroads OTP)
