Role Overview

The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to provide patient care, performing all duties of an MA I and demonstrating full competence in clinical tasks within their assigned clinic or location. They are expected to adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in patient care activities, including vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
  • Perform clinical functions independently, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Support healthcare team with administrative and clinical duties as directed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate from an accredited school with hands‑on clinical training, or completion of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship, or military medical training, or at least one year of relevant work experience.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: National Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Minimum healthcare and medical assistant experience of six months each.
