Part Time Meat Cutter

About the role

This position involves cutting, preparing, and merchandising various meat products according to company standards to support store profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and weighing meats for servings and value-added products
• Following recipes for processing meats and making specialty products
• Pricing, dating, wrapping, and labeling meat items
• Stocking shelves and notifying management of supply needs
• Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and food safety standards
• Assisting with customer engagement and suggestive selling techniques
• Supporting tasks in other departments as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred: 1+ year retail or related experience; meat cutting experience strongly preferred
• Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills
• Attention to detail and product knowledge
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 30-50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in varied temperature environments. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
