Part Time Lunch Monitor Paraprofessional- South Elementary

About the role

South Elementary in Cedar City, UT is seeking two Part-Time Lunch Monitor Paraprofessionals to assist school personnel with monitoring student activities and behavior on the playground and in the lunchroom. This position works 10 hours per week and will remain open until filled.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and provide support, encouragement, and assistance to elementary students during breakfast and/or lunch activities and on the playground.
• Supervise playground/recreational activities, including individual use of equipment and participation in group games.
• Assist in maintaining order and decorum in the lunchroom, reinforcing student manners, eating habits, and cleanup procedures.
• Assist in providing a safe environment for students during playground and breakfast/lunch periods.
• Enforce safety rules, appropriate behavior standards, and school playground/lunchroom policies.
• Communicate issues with the School Principal.

Requirements

• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance and job performance is required.
• Must have basic computer knowledge and be familiar with Google Docs.
• Must check email frequently.
• Must be willing to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.
