About the role

South Elementary is seeking two Part-Time Lunch Monitor Paraprofessionals to work 10 hours per week. This position assists school personnel with monitoring student activities and behavior on the playground and in the lunchroom.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and provide support, encouragement, and assistance to elementary students during breakfast and/or lunch activities and on the playground.
• Supervise playground/recreational activities, including individual use of equipment and participation in group games.
• Maintain order and decorum in the lunchroom, reinforcing student manners, eating habits, and cleanup procedures.
• Provide a safe environment for students during playground and breakfast/lunch periods.
• Enforce safety rules, appropriate behavior standards, and school playground/lunchroom policies.
• Communicate issues with the School Principal.

Requirements

• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance and job performance.
• Basic computer knowledge, familiarity with Google Docs, and frequent email checking.
• Willingness to learn and use all required computer systems and software.
