About the role
The USTA New England Section is seeking a part-time (up to 15 hours per week) Local League Coordinator to manage recreational adult league tennis in Western Massachusetts. Responsibilities include coordinating league activities, communicating with volunteers and players, and fostering community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Administer adult recreational tennis leagues (USTA League) in Western Massachusetts communities
- Coordinate and attend meetings with volunteer committees and team leads (captains)
- Communicate team registration information and assist with player registration
- Create and publish quality schedules using provided technology platforms
- Ensure compliance with local procedures and regulations
- Act as point of contact for all customer service needs
- Resolve conflicts and communicate post-season play participation
- Maintain program platform compliance and correct violations
- Verify program and player eligibility, site availability, and compliance with organizational policies
- Utilize data and reports for data-informed decisions
- Coordinate new programs and initiatives to encourage participation growth
- Recruit new volunteer captains and provide support
- Assist facilities and players in joining the USTA League system
- Collaborate with Local League Coordinators and Section Staff
- Coordinate opportunities for new and returning tennis players to participate in USTA League play

- Familiarity with coordinating tasks and operations for on and off-site events
Qualifications
- Resides in New England, preference given to Massachusetts, particularly Western Massachusetts
- Able to travel and work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Monday.com, Excel preferred
- Familiarity with TennisLink and understanding of tennis preferred
- Ability to learn new software platforms
