Part-Time Lecturer(s) Pool in Chemistry

California State University, Stanislaus Department of Chemistry seeks part-time lecturers to teach one or more of the following: general-education chemistry lectures, General Chemistry discussion and lab sections, and service courses for other disciplines. Appointment is contingent on authorized funding.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned chemistry courses, including lectures, discussion sections, and laboratory sections.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in chemistry is preferred.
• Prior successful teaching experience at the college level is preferred.

As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, newly hired lecturers receive an extremely competitive benefits package. Lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule; others are normally placed in Range 2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range.

The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries are prorated based on the number of units assigned and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. Salary rates for California State University Lecturers (Academic Year) can be found in the Range 2 and Range 3 schedules.
