Part-Time Lecturer (Chemistry)

General Summary

The Department of Chemistry at Eastern Michigan University invites applicants for part-time teaching opportunities in the areas of Introductory Environmental Chemistry (online) and Introductory and Organic Chemistry labs (in-person) for Fall 2026.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Introductory Environmental Chemistry (online) and Introductory and Organic Chemistry labs (in-person).
• Develop and maintain professional skills to ensure high-quality education for students.
• Meet with students during and outside of assigned classes.
• Absess student work and performance.
• Prepare syllabi and course materials.
• Provide copies of syllabi and course materials to supervisor on request.
• Assign and submit grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules.
• Perform related departmental duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
