About the role
Interdisciplinary Studies in the Liberal Arts (ISLA) at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers. Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of courses in the areas of Interdisciplinary Studies, Science, Technology & Society, Media Art & Technologies, Values & Technology, and more.
- Adapt to the needs of the academic term and be available on very short notice.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant liberal arts or other related discipline and previous college-level teaching experience.
- Ph.D. or terminal degree preferred.
Qualifications
- Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background.
- Classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are provided in the posting.

Interdisciplinary Studies in the Liberal Arts (ISLA) offers interdisciplinary classes to support a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies as well as four interdisciplinary minors: Ethics, Public Policy, Science & Technology; Gender, Race, Culture, Science & Technology; Media Arts, Society & Technology; and Science and Risk Communication. Many ISLA courses satisfy university general education and breadth requirements.
