Part-Time Lecturer Pool - General Engineering (AY 26/27)

About the role
The General Engineering Program in the College of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking Part-time lecturers to teach ENGR 101 (Engineering Student Success) and ENGR 301 (Engineering Professional Success) during the 2026-2027 academic year. These programs are part of the Multicultural Engineering Program (MEP), an academic support program designed to retain and graduate students who continue to remain underrepresented in engineering.
Pay
Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background. As of July 2024, the classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are:
- Lecturer A: $5,507–$6,677
- Lecturer B: $6,221–$13,224
- Lecturer C: $6,825–$14,523
- Lecturer D: $8,593–$15,211

Requirements
- A relevant Bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching.
- Ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language.
Qualifications
- An advanced degree (preferred).
- Experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment (preferred).
- Relevant work experience and professional capabilities (preferred).
