Part-Time Lecturer Pool - Civil & Environmental Engineering (AY 26/27)
About the role
The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department within the College of Engineering at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering courses.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering or related area of engineering required.
- In some teaching areas and subject matters, a B.S. in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) will satisfy the minimum qualification.
- M.S. degree and professional licensure preferred.
- Previous teaching and/or consulting experience in any branch of Civil and/or Environmental Engineering are also desirable.
Qualifications
- Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department.
- Classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are:
- Lecturer A: $5,507-$6,677
- Lecturer B: $6,221-$13,224
- Lecturer C: $6,825-$14,523
- Lecturer D: $8,593-$15,211
