Part-Time Lecturer - Human Resources (Boston)
About The Opportunity
The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University invites applications for a non-tenure track part time faculty lecturer in Human Resources Management on the Boston Campus. The successful candidates will teach on-campus graduate-level courses within the Human Resources Management program, focusing on topics such as talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and strategic HR management. These positions offer an opportunity to contribute to an innovative and forward-thinking program while engaging with a diverse and dynamic student body.
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate courses in Human Resources Management, which may include (but are not limited to) topics such as talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and strategic HR management.
- Engage in curriculum development, ensuring course content remains current and relevant to industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- A terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Human Resources Management, Management, Psychology, or a closely related field is preferred; a master’s degree in a related field will also be considered.
- Significant industry experience in HR Management, preferably at a managerial or executive level, demonstrating an ability to translate practical experience into classroom teaching.
- Experience teaching at the graduate level, including familiarity with online or hybrid teaching methods, is strongly preferred.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and welcoming learning environment; demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from a variety of backgrounds.
- Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) and active engagement with professional HR networks are desirable.
